SnS Airbreak Swith-SS05

Magnetic Air Break Switches is magnetically operated equipment designed to meet all requirement of automatic ON/OFF control of the feed water to the steam boiler, to provide an alarm and pump or burner cut- out in the event of high or low water level condition or any combination of these duties. It is intended primarily for steam boiler application.
“Switches must not be used for the direct starting of motors, contacts should be wired in the series with the operating coils of relays contractor starters and fused separately”

Each switch has a nominal water level differential of 25mm between circuit A-A and B-B To obtain a differential greater than 25mm, two switch units must be used and a holding circuit arranged for the starter control circuit. The minimum water level differential for two switch units is 33mm with switch centers positioned 8mm apart. The maximum adjustable differential for two switch machines will vary with the operating range of each model, i.e. the distance between rising and falling level which is required to operate the switches when they are positioned at the extreme ends of their adjustments, see figure 1.

Switch Adjustment
Each switch is secured to the pillar by locking screws. The locking screws can be loosened with a screw driver allowing the switch units to be adjusted up or down. Re-tighten the locking screw after positioning the switch.
“Warning: If a switch unit is adjusted or replaced at any time, it must be checked according to the operating manual”
